Works withHome Assistant
Home Assistant Green is an easy way to bring all your smart home devices together, giving you local control, powerful automation and better privacy.
Whether you're just getting started or upgrading an existing setup, this compact smart home hub makes it easy to connect and control devices from different manufacturers. Bring your lights, thermostats, sensors, cameras and more into one place, without juggling a collection of different apps.
Home Assistant Green comes with Home Assistant pre-installed, so you can get started in minutes. It's a great foundation for a smarter home that works the way you want it to.
Smart home, no stress
Getting started with Home Assistant Green is straightforward. Connect it to your router, plug in the power and follow a few simple steps to get everything running.
With over 2,000 integrations available, Home Assistant works with an enormous range of smart home products, from popular brands to more unusual devices. Wi-Fi and other network-connected devices can communicate with Green over your home network.
For Zigbee, Thread and Z-Wave devices, you'll need a USB adapter. Green doesn't have built-in smart home radios, but you can easily add Home Assistant Connect ZBT-2 for Zigbee or Thread, or Home Assistant Connect ZWA-2 for Z-Wave.
Automation made easy
Home Assistant makes it easy to automate everyday tasks. Turn on the lights when you get home, adjust the heating based on the temperature, or have everything switch off when you go to bed.
Its visual automation editor makes creating routines straightforward, even if you've never tried home automation before. For more advanced users, YAML configuration and scripting offer plenty of flexibility to build more complex systems.
Your data stays at home
Privacy is at the heart of Home Assistant. Unlike many smart home platforms, it runs locally in your home, giving you control over your devices and data without relying on someone else's cloud services.
Local devices and automations can keep working even when your internet connection goes down, and there's no requirement for a subscription or cloud account. Some third-party integrations still depend on their manufacturers' cloud services, but Home Assistant gives you the freedom to choose how your smart home works.
Open, flexible and built to last
Home Assistant is open-source software supported by a huge community of developers and enthusiasts. Regular updates bring new features, improvements and integrations, so your smart home can grow and evolve over time.
You're not tied to a single manufacturer or ecosystem. Mix and match compatible devices from different brands, add new capabilities whenever you like, and build a setup that suits your home.
Compact and energy efficient
Home Assistant Green is small enough to tuck away on a shelf or beside your router. Its semi-transparent enclosure and aluminium heatsink give it a distinctive look while keeping everything cool without a fan.
It's designed to run continuously while using very little electricity, typically consuming around 1.7W when idle and 3W under load. That makes it an economical way to keep your smart home running around the clock.
