A Zigbee smart plug with power monitoring, overload protection and a compact design.
Smart plugs let you save energy and automate mains-powered devices. These ones use the Zigbee 3.0 protocol, which means they will work with a wide range of smart home hubs (we like Home Assistant ). They're 13A max (16A max for the European version) which means you can use them with a variety of small appliances and they have built-in power monitoring and overload protection.
To use Zigbee devices, you’ll need a Zigbee-compatible USB dongle connected to an always-on computer (a Raspberry Pi is ideal!) or a dedicated smart home solution like the excellent Home Assistant Green (with Zigbee dongle) or the Sonoff iHost.
Features
- Remote control: Turn devices on and off from anywhere using a smartphone app.
- Smart scheduling: Create timers and daily routines to automatically power devices on/off (e.g., fans, lamps, coffee makers).
- Power monitoring: Identify energy-hungry devices and reduce electricity costs. You can also monitor the energy draw to identify when processes have finished.
- Overload protection: Safeguard your appliances and home by setting overload protection. The S60ZB will cut off power when excessive current is detected, preventing damage and ensuring safe operation at all times.
- Home automation: Integrate with other smart devices (like lights, thermostats, or sensors) to create automated scenes or routines.
- Zigbee repeater: This mains-powered device works as a Zigbee repeater, so you can use it to extend the range of your Zigbee mesh network.
- Wide compatibility: Works seamlessly with Home Assistant and other Zigbee-enabled smart home solutions.

* Note that Sonoff recommends only using these smart plugs with resistive loads that comply with the listed parameters. Inductive loads driven by motors (like air conditioners, refrigerators, or washing machines) often draw a high inrush current at startup, which can exceed the plug's rated current and potentially cause damage.
